I have decided to start a blog. Obviously. My previous blog ended several years ago and focused mainly on answering tough questions high school students had. I have decided a new blog is in order for several reasons. First of all, I need to be in the discipline of writing for non-academic purposes. Also, I have plenty of thoughts that pass through my mind, and I might as well record them somewhere. I figure if they are on the internet I am less likely to lose them. Thirdly, I figure I can use this blog to record my journey to Africa a year from now, which will inevitably give me a lot to say, and I would like a good way to communicate my journey to friends and family. It seems as if this is the way people do it these days.
Apart from these reasons, I intend to use this blog to post creative ideas/projects on which I will hopefully embark. We shall see what motivation/time availability presents itself in the upcoming months.
Even if no one ever reads this, it will serve a purpose. Mostly, it is for me. However, if you enjoy reading, please do. Leave comments, critiques, etc.
I realize that blogs exist for people to throw their thoughts into the void. I realize that nothing I say is credible considering I am a college student who still has a lot to learn about the world. This blog is for thoughts. This blog is a journey. Feel free to come along!
